Our Beliefs
We believe in a loving, liberating, and life-giving God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe in following the teachings of Jesus Christ, whose life, death, and resurrection save the world.
We believe in inclusion and sharing God’s love with everyone.
Our Mission
Our Mission is to spread the love of Christ, build on our traditions, grow spiritually, and make disciples.
We serve Our Lord Jesus Christ through the Anglican/Episcopal liturgy and our unique Pan-African heritage.
Our Faith Formation
These are the building blocks of our faith formation:
Welcome to St. Luke’s
What does the Lord require of you? To do justice, to love kindness, and to walk humbly with God. Micah 6:8 (ESV)
Living into our legacy
The call of God is pretty simple: to do the right thing, to always act with kindness, and to maintain your relationship with Jesus Christ. That is our legacy at St. Luke’s, and we’ve been committed to it for a long time.
But 2020 reminded us of a few things: we are not bound by the walls of the church, social justice is not a high-flying ideal but a daily fight, that we are charged to be both a partner in that fight and a refuge from it, and that Jesus Christ calls us to center our activism squarely within the Gospel. We are to be a reflection of God’s grace, justice, and peace in the world.
So as we move into our future, we intend to be at the forefront of what church and social justice look like in the 21st century. We invite you to be right there with us.
